Sackville Farmers’ Market Post-Emergency COVID Operational Plan
As of 31 July, the province of New Brunswick is lifting all restrictions related to COVID 19. Given that many members of our market community are vulnerable to infectious diseases including but not limited to COVID, we are outlining a plan for a health-wise re-entry into “business as usual.” We aim to keep our market as safe and inclusive as possible. The following health precautions will remain in place for market vendors and staff:

We're very excited to return to our summer home in the heart of downtown Sackville! Find an expanded roster of vendors right on Main Street next to the Sackville Public Library. We are opening up the Bill Johnstone Fieldhouse to host vendors at 50% reduced capacity. Traffic will be one-way, and masks and contact tracing will be mandatory. We're excited to launch version 2.0 of our preorder & delivery food box program with three different options to suit different households' food needs. Boxes will be delivered between 1 and 3pm on Saturday. Fill out the form by following the "order now" link below, and send us payment via e-transfer to sackvillemarket@gmail.com. Ordering is open now and closes at 5pm on Wednesday, November 4.
Can't make it to the market? We've got you covered. Sign up for an assortment of seasonal fruits & veggies (plus bread) delivered right to your door early on Saturday afternoon. Contents vary weekly. We are now taking orders for the October 3 2020 delivery. Click the button below to input your order information. Over the month of September we're going to be moving towards a more flexible ordering system so that you can get more of the market goods that you love, without having to leave the house. We're getting close to re-opening the market, and working on setting up a pilot virtual market to help more people in our region safely access locally-made products & foods. The Sackville Farmers’ Market is not currently scheduling for a temporary shutdown. If it becomes necessary, however, that decision will be made quickly and communicated directly to vendors and to the public through our social media channels. We are staying up-to-date with the latest information from the provincial public health officials and are also staying aware of what other local markets are doing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our communities. Protecting our community is everyone’s responsibility. If you – as a vendor or customer – are experiencing any signs of fever or respiratory illness (cough, sneezing, congestion), please do not attend the market in an effort to help minimize the possibility of transmission.
