Sackville Farmers’ Market Post-Emergency COVID Operational Plan

​As of 31 July, the province of New Brunswick is lifting all restrictions related to COVID 19. Given that many members of our market community are vulnerable to infectious diseases including but not limited to COVID, we are outlining a plan for a health-wise re-entry into “business as usual.” We aim to keep our market as safe and inclusive as possible.


The following health precautions will remain in place for market vendors and staff:

• frequently touched surfaces including door handles, washrooms, and cash will be routinely sanitized
  
• vendors and staff are required to wear masks indoors and whenever coming into less than two metres of distance from others. Vendors requiring an exception to mask use for a medical reason must obtain authorization from the market manager.
  
• The market manager will continue to screen vendors for communicable disease. Vendors exhibiting signs of a communicable disease, including fever, cough, runny nose, and diarrhea will not be eligible to vend at market until their condition improves.
  

The following health precautions will remain in place for market customers:

• market customers are encouraged to wear masks for their own safety as well as that of other customers and vendors
  

This health policy will be reviewed as required by new provincial guidelines and during regular board meetings.
