The Sackville Farmers' Market is hiring an Events and Promotions Coordinator through the SEED (Student Employment Experience Development) Program through Working NB. The Events and Promotions Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the operation and promotion of a weekly Saturday morning farmers’ market and additional special events. The Sackville Farmers Market is a Non-profit organization committed to promoting local, accessible, and sustainably farmed foods and serves to support emerging small local businesses.
Tasks include setup and tear-down of tables and equipment, assisting vendors and customers with questions or concerns, online promotions and website updates, maintaining safety and health standards, as well as hosting and fundraising at the Market information booth. Candidates should be able to work independently and as part of a team, be professional and reliable, have strong communication, problem solving, and writing skills. Early Morning and weekend availability required. Physical activity with some moderate to heavy lifting (up to 25kg).
